Famous Sandlot Babe Ruth Scene Reenacted by the Yankees
The below is a reenactment of a classic clip from a classic baseball movie, “The Sandlot”. It’s the scene where the kids discover that their friend Smalls lost a ball signed by Babe Ruth to the “monster dog” over the fence. What’s interesting is that the scene is played out by some famous Yankee players:
Brett Gardner stars as Smalls, who just learns that he offered up a ball autographed by Ruth to Hercules, the feared ball-chomping dog that lives beyond the fence.
Jacoby Ellsbury, C.C. Sabathia, Didi Gregorius and Brian McCann play members of “The Sandlot” crew.
