Hey baseball and Babe Ruth fans, Babe Ruth’s birthday is coming up on February 6th. It would be his 120th. And to the mark the occasion, Tom Derry of Detroit, MI is hosting his 28th annual birthday party in Babe Ruth’s honor. Tom is one of the biggest baseball fans we’ve come across and very knowledgeable about its history, including the Babe. What started as a small gathering of friends at a bar with a birthday song and cake, has turned into a packed house every year. These days the party is hosted at Nemo’s Bar & Grill in the Corktown area of Detroit. Babe Ruth fans come from all over to celebrate baseball and good times. Party participants are treated to complementary baseball-related snacks and a bar canvased in Ruth photos, stories, quotes, statistics and general baseball history.
