The Newest 500 Club Member

Congratulations to Albert Pujols of the Los Angeles Angels. This past week he became the 26th member of the prestigious club of 500 home run hitters. A couple of interesting statistical facts about the 500 home run club. The youngest person to hit 500 home runs was Alex Rodriguez (32 years, 8 days). The oldest was Ted Williams (41 years, 291 days). The person that required the most at-bats was Eddie Murray (11,095 at-bats). And the least was Mark McGwire (5,487). Babe Ruth was 34 years, 186 days old and 5,801 at bats into his career when he hit number 500. To view the full list of members view them on BRC: http://www.baberuthcentral.com/?p=106
