From a Fan – Babe Ruth-signed Bowling Shoes
As advertised on our homepage, BRC offers memorabilia-selling services on behalf of BRC fans and owners of Babe Ruth or other baseball-related memorabilia. Recently, a gentleman reached out to us with his special set of items. Here’s his story:
His grandmother’s name was Virginia Sherlock at the time she knew the Babe Ruth used to come up to upstate New York to go hunting and relax. His grandmother and her husband owned a inn in Warwick, NY in the area of where Babe would sometimes hunt and likely stayed at their inn while travelling. Ruth became friends with the couple and they would sometimes hunt together, as well as enjoy some games of bowling. At one point, Ruth signed a pair of her bowling shoes – a signature for each shoe. Certainly a unique item of Babe Ruth merchandise!
